Runnner previews debut album with fourth single "runnning in place at the edge of the map"
Runnner has unveiled a new track titled "runnning in place at the edge of the map" as the fourth taster of his debut album Like Dying Stars, We're Reaching Out.
After playing Best Fit's Five Day Forecast new music showcase last week in London, Runnner has delivered a new track titled "runnning in place at the edge of the map", which will appear on his debut album with previous singles "nye", "bike again" and "i only sing about food".
Runnner, aka Noah Weinman, says of the track, "I wrote this song about feeling frustrated in my communication and video games. I’d work myself into a kind of mute, catatonic state and the more I tried to think through it the more stuck I felt. The only way I could picture it was like when your character in some open world game is just running into that invisible wall over and over again."
Like Dying Stars, We're Reaching Out will follow last year's Always Repeating collection, and features 12 songs.
"runnning in place at the edge of the map" is out now. Runnner's Like Dying Stars, We're Reaching Out album will be released on 17 February via Run For Cover Records, and is available to pre-order now.
