Runnner announces his forthcoming ambient album, Starsdust
Los Angeles-based songwriter and producer Noah Weinman – AKA Runnner – has announced his forthcoming ambient album, Starsdust.
To mark the announcement, Weinman has shared two new songs "ten" and "eleven". The songs are the follow-up to his debut full-length, Like Dying Stars, We're Reaching Out, which was released last year. The latter song sketches began as a way to stay occupied while traveling during his extensive touring schedule, but after suffering a severe injury to his achilles tendon, Weinman found himself homebound and dove into this new project.
"I made one rule for myself while making this record and it was that I wasn’t allowed to record any new audio," Weinman explains. "Every sound on this album is a repurposed stem from Like Dying Stars, We’re Reaching Out. I was allowed to pitch, flip, stretch, and chop anything I wanted, but everything had to begin from something already recorded for the last album."
