Rozi Plain unveils new single "Painted the Room"
Rozi Plain has kicked of 2023 with a fourth outing from her PRIZE album titled "Painted the Room".
"Painted the Room" is accompanied by a video filmed by Ed Tucker, and the new song will appear on PRIZE alongside last year's "Help", "Prove Your Good" and "Agreeing for Two" singles.
"I think this is a sort of a celebration song dedicated to scummy situations retreating – relief when you are able to have the clarity and freedom to just trot off," Rozi Plain explains. "It changed so much from how it started and took a couple of hilarious and surprising-to-me new turns. Then we just deleted the guitar. Then I went to Danalogue's (from The Comet Is Coming and Soccer96) studio and he topped it up with some of his trade mark good ear good vibe."
PRIZE is produced by Plain and Jamie Whitby Coles, and will follow 2019's What a Boost.
"Painted the Room" is out now. Rozi Plain's PRIZE album will arrive via Memphis Industries on 13 January, and is available to pre-order now. She'll play London's Studio 9294 on 14 March. Visit roziplain.co.uk for tickets.
