Rihanna's Savage x Fenty brand launches maternity capsule collection
Rihanna founded the brand in 2018 as an online shop with size-inclusive lingerie, sleepwear and loungewear.
Rihanna resigned from the chief executive position at Savage X Fenty, earlier his year, but is said to remain in a leadership role as the brand’s executive chair.
In a statement to Vogue, following in news of her resignation, Rihanna said: “It’s been beautiful to see our vision for Savage X Fenty impact the industry at such an incredible magnitude over the last five years. This is just the beginning for us, and we’re going to continue to expand in ways that always connect with the consumer.”
Now the brand have announced a range of maternity capsule collection. Following the birth of her first son, RZA, in May last year, Rihanna broke the news of her second pregnancy, during her Superbowl performance, which led to her being nominated for five Emmy awards.

Rihanna has continued to make headlines throughout both of her pregnancies due to her fashion choices being more liberal than the general maternity wear that has been deemed appropriate throughout the years.
The new capsule line, designed by Rihanna herself, features three new bralette styles, as well as an oversized graphic tee. The sizes range from XXS to 4X, with prices ranging from £25 to £50. The pieces were designed to feature one-hand functionality, a full nursing sling (with a neckline-to-underarm opening), adjustable front-facing straps, and a set of nursing clasps. The back closure, meanwhile, also includes a fourth row for an easily-adjustable fit throughout one’s pregnancy.
“The new maternity capsule is about bringing that confidence and comfort to moms at every stage of their journeys,” says Rihanna. “I want to remind people that you can still channel sexiness and feel good while being a parent.”
