Pulp announce first live shows in over a decade, will headline Latitude Festival 2023
Pulp have announced a series of live dates for 2023 including a headline slot at Latitude Festival, marking their first tour dates in over a decade.
After Jarvis Cocker confirmed in July that Pulp would be reuniting in 2023 for their first live shows in over a decade, the band have shared 10 new live dates taking place in summer next year.
Pulp will kick off their reunion shows on 26 May 2023 at Bridlington Spa, and will also play shows in Warrington, Dublin, Scarborough, Cardiff and Sheffield. Pulp's live shows also include a show at London's Finsbury Park, Glasgow's TRNSMT Festival, and a headline slot at Latitude Festival (alongside Paolo Nutini and George Ezra)
Pulp previously reunited in 2010 as the Different Class line-up (Cocker, Nick Banks, Candida Doyle, Steve Mackey, Russell Senior and Mark Webber), and toured Europe and Australia in 2011. Their last full show was in December 2012 in Sheffield.
Following the reunion shows announcement, bassist Steve Mackey revealed he won't be joining Pulp for the 2023 shows. He wrote on Instagram, "Jarvis and I remastered Pulp's entire Universal Records back catalogue together just over two years ago at Abbey Road Studios. It was a huge pleasure to do that and review our songs and recordings together."
He continued, "There have been wide reports of a full reunion for UK concerts today. However I've decided to continue the work I’m engaged in - music, filmmaking and photography projects, and will not be joining them for these UK shows just announced."
Tickets for Pulp's 2023 shows go on sale 4 November at 9am GMT through gigsandtours.com.
