Puddle of Mudd's Wes Scantlin on their Nirvana cover: "It looked and sounded like total shit"
Wes Scantlin of Puddle of Mudd has admitted that their cover of Nirvana's "About A Girl" "looked and sounded like total shit" more than two years after it was released.
Back in 2020 Puddle of Mudd covered Nirvana's "About A Girl" during a SiriusXM session, and it went viral for all the wrong reasons, but more than two years later, Puddle of Mudd's Wes Scantlin has finally admitted that it wasn't great.
While speaking to SongFacts, Scantlin said, "I was acclimating and it was a tiring day, and I had already performed five or six songs at one time, and by the time I got to that one - which I shouldn't even have done because I cannot nail that song - I was a little tired. It looked and sounded like total shit. But live to fight another day, dude."
