Primavera Pro 2024 reveals music line-up
Primavera Pro - the industry-focused event that runs parallel to its parent festival - has revealed the line up of emerging artists set to play later this month.
From 29 May - 2 June, 20 artists from different export offices and institutions from all over the world will play at the Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona – to industry professionals as well as to the general public. There will also be several showcases as part of the Primavera a la Ciutat programme.
Artists from Ireland, Italy, Argentina, Germany, Portugal, the Netherlands, Hungary, Lithuania, Navarre and Catalonia are set to take part, following in the footsteps of Fontaines DC, El Mató a un Policía Motorizado, Javiera Mena and Moonchild Sanelly.
Catalan Arts bring Mar Pujol, Llum and dani6ix & IZZKID to represent Catalonia. IZZKID hit it big with "Van Gogh", which went to the top of Spotify's most viral tracks. Mar Pujol's muic sees her voice and her guitar come together in a delicate and unpretentious combination, while Llum is represented by the hypnotic voice of her future
The Navarra Music Commission bring Olaia Inziarte, whose dark pop compositions reference the popular songbook of Navarre.
The Music From Ireland platform presents a wide range of emerging talents that reflect Ireland's vibrant and diverse music scene, among them the intense and immersive sensory experience of YARD, alt-pop's Chubby Cat, rapper Curtisy, singer/songwriter Katie Phelan, and psychedelic punks The Love Buzz.
From Argentina, the Instituto Nacional de la Música de Argentina (INAMU) brings Salta-artist Feli Colina – who takes her roots and twists them to out a new spin on her origins. Italy's So Beast comes to Primavera Pro with ATER Fondazione and the Emilia-Romagna Music Commission, to represent the Italian cultural scene.
One of Lisbon's most successful bands Hause Plants (pictured above) will represent Portugal and come with their nation's music export office WHY Portugal, along experimental pop artist Surma.
From the Netherlands, Dutch Music Export present the buzzy Robin Kester and Tramhaus while emerging Lithuanian electronic artist Migluma will perform thanks to the Lithuanian Music Business Association.
The funding organisation and platform for music in Germany – the German Music Export by Initiative Musik bring indie-pop composer Ilgen-Nur, electronic duo Import Export, and FLYING MOON IN SPACE who blend krautrock, electronica, indie and techno
Hungary and HOTS (Hungarian Oncoming Tunes) bring Àbáse, whose music transmits a message of unity, dialogue and self-reflection, while Дeva provides soft atmospheric sounds and pulsating basses inspired by magical Hungarian folk songs.
Primavera Pro have also put together a playlist of all the artists.
