Welcome to our weekly round-up of shows happening in the grand concert halls, dimly lit basements, airy cafe’s and grimy sweatboxes across the UK and Ireland. All acts featured come with the Best Fit ‘Seal Of Approval’ so you can be assured that your hard earned cash will be well spent. To tempt your wallets this week we’ve gathered dates from the likes of Nick Cave, Frightened Rabbit and Desaparecidos.

Veronica Falls @ St Leonards Church, London 08/02

Having released their brand new album Waiting For Something To Happen this Monday via Bella Union, our favourite London via Brighton four piece are back and ready to captivate everyone with their dreamy, scuzz pop once again!

SOLD OUT. RSVP via Facebook. Check out more Veronica Falls shows.

Desaparecidos @ The Arches, Glasgow 09/02

It has been 10 years since Conor Oberst and co released Read Music/Speak Spanish and finally they’ve decided to treat the UK to a live show. Major thanks are owed to Songkick’s Detour effort for this one. We could not be more excited. They released two new tracks earlier this week too, which you can listen to here if you’ve not already. This is going to be incredible.

Tickets are on sale now. RSVP via Facebook. Check out more Desaparecidos shows.

Jason Lytle @ The Haunt, Brighton 09/02

The man behind Grandaddy embarks on a solo outing following the release of last year’s Dept. of Disappearance. Evocative guitars and expertly written, experimental pop numbers guaranteed.

Tickets are on sale now. RSVP via Facebook. Check out more Jason Lytle shows.

Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds @ Her Majesty’s Theatre, London 10/02

Celebrating the release of their fifteenth studio album Push The Sky Away, due out on 18 February, the legendary Nick Cave and his Bad Seeds are heading to Her Majesty’s Theatre for one of a handful of special launch events. Presenting their brand new album live with the accompaniment of strings and choir, the night will also see a film-makers Iain Forsyth & Jane Pollard screen their short film about the making of the record.

SOLD OUT. RSVP via Facebook. Check out more Nick Cave shows.

Fear of Men @ The Sebright Arms, London 11/02

With support from the beguiling Ides, Fear of Men promise an airing of brand new tracks taken from their undoubtedly lo-fi, lovelorn pop filled forthcoming full length.

Tickets are on sale now. RSVP via Facebook. Check out more Fear of Men shows.

Everything Everything @ HMV Institute, Digbeth 12/02

Having released their second album Arc via RCA back in January, the Mancunian four-piece return to the live circuit with a more frustrated, jaded, mature sound but one still packed with jittery pop hooks and spluttering rhythms.

Tickets are on sale now. RSVP via Facebook. Check out more Everything Everything shows.

Frightened Rabbit and Wintersleep @ The Junction, Cambridge 14/02

Last year’s Hello Hum was a tragically under-rated album. Comprised of eleven mournful, sincere, sentimental, indie tracks of the folk tinged variety, they became more addictive than cigarettes for a while. We’ve managed to kick the habbit but we’re about to be sucked back in and to be honest we couldn’t be happier that they’re supporting Frightened Rabbit on their latest venture, which will see them return to a semblance of Midnight Organ Fight form with new album Pedestrian Verse.

Tickets are on sale now. RSVP via Facebook. Check out more Frightened Rabbit shows.

On and On and Elephant@ Birthdays, London 14/02

Born from the ashes of Scattered Trees, American three-piece On and On – aka Nate Eiesland, Alissa Ricci and Ryne Estwing, have opted for a heavier, scuzzier, rougher sound and my god it comes off beautifully, like a cross between Sleigh Bells and whoever the Mexican Summer dream pop darlings are this month. Elephant will be joining them for this very special RFB night.

Tickets are on sale now. RSVP via Facebook. Check out more On and On shows.
