Welcome to our weekly round-up of shows happening in the grand concert halls, dimly lit basements, airy cafe’s and grimy sweatboxes across the UK and Ireland. All acts featured come with the Best Fit ‘Seal Of Approval’ so you can be assured that your hard earned cash will be well spent. To tempt your wallets this week and give you some much needed relief from “Olympic Fever” we’ve gathered dates from the likes of How to Dress Well, Elizabeth Fraser and Evelinn Trouble.
The Legendary Lightness @ House of Switzerland, London 03/08
Performing at Switzerland House as part of the Zurich Sounds series, four-piece The Legendary Lightness offer up a rich palette of the gently dramatic and soft acoustic, almost orchestral pop persuasion.
Free Event. RSVP via Facebook. Check out more dates here.
Elizabeth Fraser @ Pavilion Club, Bath 04/08
The ex-Cocteau Twins vocalist will be gracing the stage at The Royal Festival Hall for two days as part of Meltdown festival but before she heads to London she’ll be stopping off for a rare performance in Bath. She hasn’t performed solo since 1998, you would be a fool to miss any one of these shows.

SBTRKT @ 100 Club, London 06/08
Playing alongside Lemonade, Man Without Country and John Talabot in what is unsurprisingly another incredible Converse presented line-up SBTRKT aka Aaron Jerome, will be bringing his clean intricate beats and maybe some guest vocalists to London’s 100 Club this week.

Evelinn Trouble @ House of Switzerland London 07/08
Having started her first band at the tender age of 13, Switzerland’s Evelinn Trouble creates experimental, dirgy, dirty pop numbers with slinky rhythms and perfectly gritty vocals.
