Poppy unveils the latest track, "Motorbike"
Singer/songwriter, and subversive performance artist, Poppy unveils the latest track off of her forthcoming album, Zig.
"Motorbike" is a sensual track opens with darkwave-inspired synths and an ominous voice pondering, “I wonder why, nothing catches my eye, quite like the sight of a girl with a powerful machine between her legs.”
The track follows on from "Knockoff", which coincided with the announcement of her forthcoming album.
Zig was recorded with producer Ali Payami, as well as her long term collaborative partner Simon Wilcox.
After initially signing to LA’s Sumerian Records, she released the 2020 album, I Disagree, to much acclaim. The track “BLOODMONEY” earned a GRAMMY nomination for Best Metal Performance, making her the first ever solo female artist nominated in the category.
"Motorbike" is out now. Zig is set for release on 27 October via Sumerian Records, and is available to pre-order.
