Phoenix unveil new single "Winter Solstice"
Phoenix have released a third cut from their first album in five years, Alpha Zulu, titled "Winter Solstice".
Following last month's "Tonight" single featuring Vampire Weekend’s Ezra Koenig and the June album title-track, Phoenix have shared a third outing titled “Winter Solstice”. It arrives with a video directed by Warren Fu and Saoli Nash.
Alpha Zulu will follow Phoenix's 2017 album Ti Amo, and is a self-produced album recorded at Paris’ Musée des Arts Décoratifs. “Winter Solstice” is the only track on the album not recorded at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs. Instead, it was written remotely, built on a loop that Lauren Brancowitz, Christian Mazzalai and Deck D’Arcy sent to lead vocalist Thomas Mars.
"Winter Solstice" is out now. Phoenix's Alpha Zulu album will be released on 4 November through Loyaute/Glassnote Records, and is available to pre-order now.
