Philip Selway shares new album title-track "Strange Dance"
Radiohead's Philip Selway has shared the title-track from his forthcoming solo album Strange Dance as the third taster of the record.
"Strange Dance" will feature on Selway's new solo album with last month's "Picking Up Pieces" and 2022's "Check For Signs Of Life".
Selway says, ""Strange Dance" had a very long gestation as a song. In its original form, it was the first piece from the album to be written, over 20 years ago. It was also the last song to be completed on the album, with the lyric taking shape in the final recording session. The strange dance I write about refers to the contortions we all perform as we try to balance seemingly irreconcilable elements of our lives, and the relationships that help us navigate this uncertainty."
Strange Dance will follow his 2014 album Weatherhouse and his 2017 soundtrack for Let Me Go. The album will feature contributions from Hannah Peel, Marta Salogni, Laura Moody, Adrian Utley, Quinta and Valentina Magaletti.
"Strange Dance" is out now. Philip Selway's album of the same name will be released via Bella Union on 24 February, and is available to pre-order now.
