Patti Smith Group's 1978 song "Rock N Roll N*****" has been quietly removed from streaming services.
Rolling Stone reports that the controversial song, which appeared on Patti Smith Group's Easter album, has disappeared from Apple Music, Spotify, Tidal and Amazon Music. It's unclear exactly when, or why the song was removed from streaming services.
The article notes that Smith declined to comment on the song's removal, and the track co-writer Lenny Kaye didn't respond.
Smith hasn't played the song live since January 2019.
