Patti Smith covers Lana Del Rey’s “Summertime Sadness”
During a run of shows in Europe, Patti Smith has been performing a cover of "Summertime Sadness" by Lana Del Rey.
Last night, she played a show at Vicar Street in Dublin and dedicated the song to her late husband Fred “Sonic” Smith. Elsewhere in the set she performed the likes of "Redondo Beach", "Because the Night", "Pissing in a River", and a cover of Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit".
Patti Smith's tour continues in July where she plays in Barcelona, Amsterdam, Vienna, and London's Somerset House.
