Paris Hilton joins forces with Kim Petras to re-record "Stars Are Blind"
With a nod to Taylor Swift's re-recorded tracks, Paris Hilton shares the Kim Petras collaboration, "Stars Are Blind (Paris' Version)".
17 years after its first release, Paris Hilton has revisited her 2006 track "Stars Are Blind", which featured on Hilton's debut studio album Paris.
Hilton exclusively released a solo, “Paris’ Version” of the track on Amazon Music back in December when she recorded fresh vocals and worked with Fernando Garibay who produced the original song 15 years ago.
In 2017, Hilton starred in the music video for Kim Petras’ debut single “I Don’t Want It All", and in 2020, Petras covered “Stars Are Blind” as part of a Stonewall Gives Back livestream.
In an interview with Variety, Hilton revealed that new music was on the horizon – describing the sound as mostly EDM “with hints of pop sprinkled throughout” – and also said that she was learning to produce it herself. “It’s hard, it’s a very technical skill but I’ve made some songs already and I’m excited to see what else I can do,” she said. “I’ve got new songs on the way, and just a lot of new ideas and projects coming sooner than you think.”
Kim Petras is set to release her debut album, Feed The Beast, later this month.
