Overcoats deliver new cut "Horsegirl"
Overcoats, aka Hana Elion and JJ Mitchell, have returned with their first single of the year, "Horsegirl".
"Horsegirl" is accompanied by a video directed by Overcoats and Casey Pierce, and marks the duo's first outing since releasing "Tide" from the A Shore soundtrack in December last year. The song was recorded in LA with Day Wave (aka Jackson Phillips), and features additional production from Daniel Tashian (Kacey Musgraves, Lissie, Demi Lovato).
Hana Elion says of their new release, "It’s about that feeling of wanting to wander instead of being tied down or tamed. But the point is that we’re not horse girls - we’re the horse itself."
The duo's latest album The Fight arrived in 2020, and last year they shared their Used To Be Scared Of The Dark EP.
