Orbital link with The Mediaeval Baebes on new cut "Ringa Ringa (The Old Pandemic Folk Song)"
Orbital have teamed up with The Mediaeval Baebes on their new single "Ringa Ringa (The Old Pandemic Folk Song)", which is lifted from their forthcoming album Optical Delusion.
"Ringa Ringa (The Old Pandemic Folk Song)" follows Orbital's October lead single "Dirty Rat", and sees the duo unite with The Mediaeval Baebes.
Orbital's Paul Hartnoll says of the new single, which is accompanied by a Luke Losey-directed video, "It was a track made in the pandemic and I felt a real pull to use the vocal from Ring O'Roses, the original pandemic song from the Middle Ages. It made me feel a connection with all those who suffered before without the help of our modern technology. The music reflects the modern world while The Mediaeval Baebes vocals take us back to the times it has happened before, an old song becomes relevant again."
Optical Delusion will be Orbital's tenth album, and will follow 2018's Monsters Exist. It'll feature collaborations with Anna B Savage, Penelope Isles and more.
