Omni collaborate with Izzy Glaudini of Automatic on new single, “Plastic Pyramid"
Atlanta trio Omni have shared the brand new single, "Plastic Pyramid", featuring Izzy Glaudini of Automatic. The single is taken from their forthcoming album, Souvenir.
Following previous album single, “Exacto” comes “Plastic Pyramid" featuring Izzy Glaudini of Automatic. Directed by Zach Pyles, “Plastic Pyramid” features Frobos, Broyles, Yonker, and Glaudini in this warped throwback infomercial-styled video.
“‘Plastic Pyramid’ was one of the first songs written for Souvenir. It took a while to figure out what arrangement worked best. We tore it apart and pasted it back together again a number of times before settling on its current form. Our friend Izzy Glaudini of Automatic graciously agreed to sing on the track, making it the very first Omni duet," the band explains.
Souvenir is Omni's second album for Sub Pop, and follows on from 2019's Networker, its predecessor Multi-task – which came out in 2017 – and their 2016 debut album, Deluxe.
Omni has also announced headline shows in 2024 supporting Souvenir, with the band returning to the UK and Ireland for a string of dates in April including Brighton, Bristol, Dublin, Glasgow, Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham, Margate, before culminating at Moth Club in London on 20 April.
Souvenir is set for release on 16 February via Sub Pop, and is available to pre-order now.
