Omar Apollo unveils new single, "Te Maldigo"
Omar Apollo has released the new single, "Te Maldigo", which was inspired by the forthcoming Luca Guadagnino film, Queer.
The song was written for the film and is accompanied by a music video directed by Guadagnino, where he can be seen in character performing the song.
Produced by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, who composed the score for the film, "Te Maldigo" is Omar Apollo's first song entirely in Spanish since 2022's "En El Olvido," and serves as the first single following his second studio album God Said No, which came out earlier this year.
Based on William S. Burrough's novella of the same title, Queer stars Daniel Craig, Drew Starkey, Jason Schwartzman, and Omar Apollo. After debuting at the Venice Biennial, where it received a 9-minute standing ovation, A24 acquired the film.
"Te Maldigo" is out now. Queer is set for release on 27 November.
