October And The Eyes releases her new single, "Til The End"
October And The Eyes has released her new single, "Til The End", which is taken from her upcoming EP Certificate Of Participation.
“More and more these days I tend to picture the end of the world as we know it as a very real and fast approaching event. Over the last few years my dreams are plagued more and more by these vivid apocalyptic scenarios. So I guess in drawing inspiration from this very real fear, the song imagines a love that withstands the harsh conditions of floodwaters, heatwaves and biblical locust plagues - despite the imminent approach of death and destruction, two lovers would have each other to the bitter end," October says of the song.
"But viewed through the lens of a metaphor, it’s about loving someone despite the pain or friction or toxicity the relationship may have disintegrated into, and loving someone regardless of how unhealthy it may be for you, whether you want to or not."
"I had a vision of running against a burning sunset, bleeding onto funeral pyres which became the premise of the music video I shot with my best friend Alex Schipper. In hindsight though, I’m not sure if I’m running to or from the arms of a lover and subconsciously maybe that’s been the point the whole time," she adds of the accompanying video.
"Til The End" is the second single release from October’s upcoming EP following lead single "Public Image".
