Saxophonist and composer Nubya Garcia has released the brand new single, "Fortify".
Produced by Kwes, "Fortify" follows last year’s single, "Lean In". The track marked her first solo release since 2021, following on from the remix album, SOURCE ⧺ WE MOVE – a nine-track remix album of her Mercury Prize-nominated debut solo album Source.
Speaking on "Fortify", Garcia says: “This tune is about searching and seeking ways to protect and strengthen yourself within the disruption and chaos of life,” say Garcia. “It’s about working out what you are trying to protect in your worlds; about creating safe spaces and practices to let go of your stresses.
"Fortify" is out now.
