Nicki Minaj is done with her hit "Starships": “I don’t perform that song no more"
On Sunday evening, during a New Year’s Eve performance at E11EVEN in Miami, Nicki Minaj revealed that she is not interested in playing her 2012 hit song, "Starships".
During a short New Year's Eve set which included songs such as "Moment 4 Life", "FTCU" and "Everybody", the opening verse of "Starships" began to play before Minaj stopped the song and said: “Hold on. Psych, psych, psych, psych. I don’t perform that song no more, y’all. I don’t like it, what y’all want me to do? Stupid song.”
She then closes out her set with "Super Bass", which is taken from the 2010 deluxe version of her debut studio album, Pink Friday. Last month, Minaj released Pink Friday 2, which featured the likes of Drake, J. Cole, Lil Wayne, Lil Uzi Vert, and Future. She also recently announced the forthcoming world tour in support of Pink Friday 2, which includes a headline date at The O2 Arena in London on 28 May.
