Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice announce the release of their second collaboration "Barbie World"
On Saturday evening, (10 June) Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice confirmed the release date for their collaboration with original “Barbie World” hitmakers Aqua.
The track is set to feature on the soundtrack to Greta Gerwig's forthcoming Barbie movie, which features a star-studded cast, including Lizzo, Dua Lipa, PinkPantheress, HAIM, and Charli XCX.
The two rappers previously collaborated on a remix of “Princess Diana" which went to number one on Billboard’s Hot Rap Songs chart. The song made history by being the first number one by two co-billed women in the list’s 34-year history.
Earlier this month, Dua Lipa's "Dance The Night", and PinkPantheress' "Angels" were the first songs to be released from the soundtrack.
Last week, Nicki Minaj confirmed that she is set to release her forthcoming album, in October. As yet untitled, the release is Minaj's first full-length since 2018's Queen.
Barbie: The Album arrives on 21 July and is available to pre-order here.
