Nicholas Galitzine and Anne Hathaway to star in Harry Styles fan fiction film The Idea of You
It's been revealed that Nicholas Galitzine (Purple Hearts, Cinderella) will star opposite Anne Hathaway in The Idea of You, a new film inspired by Robinne Lee's Harry Styles fan-fiction novel.
The Idea of You is an upcoming Amazon Prime film that is adapted from Robinne Lee's novel of the same name. The book follows Sophie (Hathaway), a divorced mother who takes her 15-year-old daughter to Coachella, and ends up meeting and starting a romance with the lead singer of August Moon, Hayes Campbell (Galitzine), a character fans believe to be inspired by Harry Styles.
Michael Showalter (The Big Sick, The Eyes Of Tammy Faye) is on board to direct the film adaptation, and the screenplay will be written by Jennifer Westfeldt (Kissing Jessica Stein, Friends with Kids).
The Idea of You won't be the first Styles-inspired fan fiction novel to be developed into a film, as Anna Todd's 2014 book After was made into a film that arrived in 2019, and followed by the sequels After We Collided, After We Fell and After Ever Happy.
This Friday (23 September) Harry Styles' new film Don't Worry Darling will arrive in UK cinemas.
