Nia Smith announces forthcoming debut EP, Give Up The Fear
British Musician Nia Smith has dropped her new single “Little Red Car” alongside the announcement of her forthcoming debut EP Give Up The Fear.
"Little Red Car” is about a disappointing situationship with someone who seemed perfect for her. Exploring the complexity of a wish going unfulfilled, the song sees Smith reflecting on the hurt and tender moments, too; contemplating just why she got so obsessed with a fantasy of someone who, retrospectively, she realises she didn’t really know at all.
Produced by Grammy and Ivor award winner Fraser T Smith (Adele, Stormzy), and written with Ed Thomas, Nia Smith explains that the single was “one of them songs I just NEEDED to write to allow myself to let go of a situation that was bittersweet to me. This song touches on both sides of the coin, the sweet memories and the bitter feelings. Let’s just say I think imma avoid guys w little red cars moving forward lmao”.
