New Earl Sweatshirt music features in first episode of Atlanta season four
Earl Sweatshirt provided some unreleased music that featured in the first episode of the final season of Atlanta.
Last Thursday (15 September) the final season of Donald Glover's Atlanta started, and the first episode saw Paper Boi (Brian Tyree Henry) reflect on the death of a fictional rapper called Blue Blood, who is voiced by Earl Sweatshirt.
The episode features some unreleased Earl Sweatshirt music, and the fictional rapper appears to be a tribute to the late MF DOOM, as Blue Blood's death is announced three months on from the actual date. Paper Boi also goes on a scavenger hunt in Atlanta's laundromats, cinemas, arcades and comic book stores after finding a clue in Blue Blood's lyrics which lead him to the fictional rapper's funeral.
