Neil Young's Harvest Time documentary getting cinema release in December
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of his Harvest album, Neil Young is giving his Harvest Time documentary a cinema release in December.
Following last month's announcement of the 50th anniversary edition of his fourth album Harvest, Young has revealed that his Harvest Time documentary filmed in 1971 is getting a global cinema release in December.
The film will show Young at his Broken Arrow Ranch in North California during the Harvest Barn sessions, and his London performance with the London Symphony Orchestra. It'll also feature footage of him working on some Harvest songs in Nashville.
Young says of the anniversary and documentary, "This is a big album for me. 50 years ago. I was 24, maybe 23 and this album made a big difference in my life. I played with some great friends, and it's really cool that that this album has lasted so long. I had a great time and now when I listen to it, I think I was really just lucky to be there. I hope you enjoy this story, which is Harvest Time, and which talks about everything that happened. And now people all around the world can see it at the movies."
Neil Young's Harvest Time documentary will arrive in cinemas worldwide on 1 December. Tickets go on sale 10 November via neilyoungharvesttime.com.
