Neil Young announces 50th anniversary edition of Harvest with live version of "Heart of Gold"
Neil Young has announced a 50th anniversary edition of his fourth album Harvest, and has released a 1971 live version of "Heart of Gold" to accompany the news.
Young's fourth solo album originally arrived in February 1972, and in December, the classic album will be honoured with a 50th anniversary edition available on 3xLP and three-disc CD formats featuring studio outtakes and a previously unreleased live BBC solo performance.
The Harvest box sets will also include two DVDs, the first of which is a two-hour unreleased film showing the making of the album. The second film is a recording of the solo BBC concert, which was shot on 23 February 1971.
Young's Harvest 50th anniversary release will also arrive with a hardcover book featuring unseen photos, extensive linear notes from photographer Joel Bernstein, and a poster.
Neil Young will release the 50th anniversary edition of Harvest on 2 December via Reprise Records, and it's available to pre-order now.
