Nakhane announces third album and releases Leading Lines EP
Nakhane has announced their third album Bastard Jargon, and has released their Leading Lines EP which features the new song "You’ve Got Me (Living Again)".
Leading Lines was announced last month, and is completed by new track "You've Got Me (Living Again)". The EP also features previous singles "My Ma Was Good", Perfume Genius collaboration "Do You Well" and "Tell Me Your Politik" featuring Nile Rodgers and Moonchild Sanelly, all of which will be included on their upcoming third album Bastard Jargon.
Bastard Jargon will follow Nakhane's 2018 album You Will Not Die, and will feature 10 songs in total.
"It’s an existential sex album," Nakhane explains. "Almost every song on it has some kind of wink towards sex. It’s not necessarily a seductive, come to me, bedroom eyes kind of sex - it’s much more inquisitive, psychological sex. When I wrote You Will Not Die it was at the end of my relationship with Christianity, and then when I wrote Bastard Jargon I’d moved to London and I threw myself into just wanting to feel good."
