Moses Sumney, BLACKPINK’s Jennie and more appear in second teaser for The Weeknd's new HBO series The Idol
The second teaser trailer for The Weeknd's upcoming HBO series The Idol has been unveiled, and features appearances from Moses Sumney, BLACKPINK's Jennie and many more.
After the first teaser trailer featuring Troye Sivan, BLACKPINK's Jennie and TV on the Radio’s Tunde Adebimpe was revealed last month, a second teaser has landed, and reveals new cast members including Moses Sumney, Mike Dean, Dan Levy, Rachel Sennott, Hank Azaria, Hari Nef and more.
The Weeknd, real name Abel Tesfaye, co-wrote The Idol with Euphoria's Sam Levinson, who will direct the series. Lily Rose-Depp will star in the series as Jocelyn, a female pop singer, alongside Tesfaye, who will play a character called Tedros.
Last week Grimes discussed her collaboration with The Weeknd (which she first teased in December last year), and it's reportedly due to arrive this summer.
The Idol is yet to get a release date, but is "coming soon to HBO Max".
