Modest Mouse's Isaac Brock says Jeremiah Green's cancer treatment is "going smoothly and making a positive difference"
Isaac Brock of Modest Mouse has shared a post about drummer Jeremiah Green's cancer diagnosis, revealing that his treatment "seems to be going smoothly and making a positive difference."
On Christmas Day (25 December) Jeremiah Green's mother Carol Namatame shared a post on Facebook announcing that the drummer is "battling stage 4 cancer". Since then Modest Mouse's Isaac Brock has shared an Instagram post via the band's official account confirming the news.
Brock wrote, "Hi. Some of you may have already heard, but I figured it would be good to hear the news directly from our camp. Jeremiah was diagnosed with cancer a short while ago, and he’s currently in treatment. It seems to be going smoothly and making a positive difference."
He added, "Jeremiah, as am I, are believers in the power of positive energy, so if you would be so kind as to send "good vibes"( to quote Jeremiah) in the direction of Jeremiah and his family, that'd be great. Thank you and love, Isaac Brock."
Green and Brock formed Modest Mouse in 1992 alongside bassist Eric Judy. Aside from a brief absence between 2003-04, Green has stayed with the band for their 30-year career.
Modest Mouse's latest album The Golden Casket arrived in June 2021.
