Mock Media present their new single, "Louis Won't Break"
Mock Media (Crack Cloud, N0V3L + Pottery members) have shared their new single, "Louis Won't Break", which is taken from their forthcoming debut album, Mock Media II.
"Louis Won't Break" references Laura Hillenbrand's novel Unbroken, which tells the story of Louis Zamperini, a former Olympic track star turned fighter pilot who spent 47 days on a raft at sea and two and a half years in a Japanese POW camp. It highlights how Mock Media II explores the darkest corners of humanity while coming out the other end with an unwavering joy.
It comes as a follow-up to the debut single"Modern Visions", a rhythmic number of which Aronyk comments: "I think it addresses a common theme through our music. It reflects on trying to understand violence and chaos throughout different corners of the world, and not being overcome by nihilism".
As well as "Madness" on which Aesen says: “It's just looking at human history, because it’s been so terrible in a lot of ways. How civilized we normally are, it just takes the drop of a coin and it can turn into something real bad. And we're always kind of teetering on the edge of that. People in their own lives too: you can hit rock bottom pretty quickly, but you can also persevere.”
Mock Media are set to embark on a UK/EU tour in support of their forthcoming debut album. Kicking off in Glasgow on 9 November, the band will play shows in Manchester, Bristol, London, France and Germany, before the tour culminates in Hamburg on 26 November.
Mock Media II is set for release on 17 November via Meat Machine.
