Missy Elliott has joined the cast of Pharrell Williams and Michel Gondry's forthcoming musical
Missy Elliott has been announced as having a role in the forthcoming musical film from Pharrell Williams and Michel Gondry.
Michael Gondry (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Science of Sleep) is set to direct the musical based on a script written by Steven Levenson and Martin Hynes (Toy Story 4, The Magician's Elephant). In the "coming-of-age musical set in Virginia Beach in the summer of 1977", with a story inspired by Atlantis Apartments, where Pharrell Williams grew up, Missy Elliot will be starring alongside Halle Bailey, Kelvin Harrison Jr. (It Comes At Night, Luce) and Da'Vine Joy Randolph (Ghost, High Fidelity).
