Milan Ring shares final album teaser, "High As The Moon"
Milan Ring has shared "High As The Moon", as the final single to be previewed ahead of the release of her forthcoming second studio album, Mango.
Adopting the vocalese jazz technique, the main melodic line was written first with pianist Marcello Maio to which Milan then matched lyrics, poignantly conveying the inevitability of a relationship that can no longer be repaired. “It’s about when you love someone but you’re fighting and you feel them pulling away, yet you have this sexual connection,” shares Milan Ring. “You want to absorb one another until it ends”.
Threading together previous singles "Mangos", "Quicksand", "Photograph" and "Leo", the forthcoming album, Mangos, is the follow-up to Milan Ring's 2021 debut full-length I’m Feeling Hopeful.
Mangos is set for release on 10 May via Astral People Recordings, and is available to pre-order now.
