Microphone thrown at fan by Cardi B makes almost $100k for charity
Two weeks ago, Cardi B made headlines for launching her microphone into the crowd at a concert in Las Vegas.
The incident was a retaliation after a concertgoer threw their drink at her, whilst she was performing the track "Bodak Yellow".
An unidentified concert-goer then filed a police report claiming they were “struck by an item thrown from the stage.” Initially, it had been reported that law enforcement officials had launched a criminal investigation into the incident, but ultimately the investigation was dropped because of “insufficient evidence,” according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

It was auctioned by the owner of an audio equipment hire company, who said all profits would go to charity. Scott Fisher told CBS he had initially hoped the bidding would reach $5,000.
After receiving more than 120 bids, the microphone sold for $99,900 on Tuesday evening after the listing closed. The proceeds from the mic are being split evenly between Friendship Circle Las Vegas, which helps children, teens, and young adults with special needs, and the Wounded Warrior Project – the nonprofit organisation that helps veterans and active duty service members, seller Scott Fisher wrote on Facebook after listing the microphone on eBay last week.
