Mercury Prize-shortlisted band Lankum to co-curate inaugural In The Meadows event
In The Meadows is the brand new one-day event in the heart of Dublin City Centre from the people behind All Together Now and Forbidden Fruit Festival, which takes place in the grounds of the Irish Museum Of Modern Art.
This venue has hosted the likes of Leonard Cohen, Bon Iver, Blur, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Patti Smith, and The War On Drugs as well as being the home of Forbidden Fruit Festival for the last 12 years.
The inaugural In The Meadows will take place on 8 June 2024, headlined and co-curated by Mercury-shortlisted Irish band Lankum who will perform their only Dublin show for 2024 on the grounds of the Irish Museum of Modern Art. The one-day event will occur across two stages with Mogwai, Black Country, New Road, John Francis Flynn, and This Is The Kit as the first acts to be announced.
The band's fourth album, False Lankum, has been universally heralded, reaching number two in the Official Irish Album Charts on release, and receiving a Mercury Prize nomination. This followed the Choice Award winning, The Livelong Day.
Tickets go on general on sale at 9am on Wednesday, 13 December, priced from €59.35 including booking fee. For more information, visit pod.ie.
