Matt Corby returns with new release, "Desert Land"
Hot on the heels of the release of his critically acclaimed album Everything’s Fine, artist, producer and label founder Matt Corby has shared the new single, "Desert Land".
“"Desert Land" is inspired by the close relationships we have that operate in tandem with our vices and addictions, and how both of those things influence each other," Corby says.
The stand-alone single was written by Corby alongside his friends and frequent collaborators Chris Collins (Gang of Youths, Middle Kids, Skegss) and Natt Dunn (Charli XCX, Tkay Maidza, Rita Ora), with Collins and Corby also handling production duties together. The celebrated trio worked together closely on Everything’s Fine – his album in five years – which charted at number in the Australian Artist Album Chart, and was subsequently been nominated for Album of the Year, Best Engineered Release and Best Produced Release at the 2023 ARIA Awards.
"Desert Land" is out now on Communion.
