Matt Berninger, the frontman and lyricist for The National, has released "Breaking Into Acting" featuring Hand Habits, as the latest preview of his second solo album, Get Sunk.
The song, which features Meg Duffy (Hand Habits) on vocals, laments on the plasticity of performance. “Sometimes you have to fake forgiveness before you can actually forgive,” he explains. Berninger and Duffy also appear in the music video for “Breaking Into Acting” directed by Hopper Mills.
Get Sunk, will be released on 30 May via Book/Concord Records, and is available to pre-order now.
