Lucy Dacus debuts new song "dedicated to lesbians" at Julien Baker's show
Lucy Dacus joined Julien Baker as surprise guest for a show at Brooklyn Steel to make up for her illness on Sunday night.
Halfway through Julien Baker's set at Webster Hall in New York, on Sunday evening, Lucy Dacus appeared on stage to reveal that Baker was ill and unable to continue the performance. Whilst her Monday evening show went ahead as planned, at New York’s Webster Hall, she added an additional date yesterday to make up for those who were at the gig which was cut short due to illness; with the added bonus of a special guest.
The special guest for this show was none other than Lucy Dacus who was responsible for announcing the original cancellation. She performed an acoustic set of three of her own songs before wishing the crowd a "happy international lesbian day", and revealing a brand new song that was "dedicated to lesbians".
Following this, Julien Baker and her band joined Dacus on stage to perform “Going Going Gone” and “Night Shift.”
Julien Baker will play a five-night run of shows at London’s EartH between 19-21 November. Visit julienbaker.com for more information.
