Lovejoy cover Beabadoobee as part of their Spotify Singles release
Brighton four-piece Lovejoy have revealed their take on Beabadoobee's "The Perfect Pair" as part of two tracks dropping as Spotify exclusives.
The track, from Beabadoobee's Beatopia record is released alongside a stripped back rendition of the band’s latest single “Call Me What You Like" and is the first Spotify Singles release under the 'Our Generation' umbrella, which celebrates the new wave of creators changing the face of the music industry.
To accompany the release, fans of the band were treated to an intimate performance at Spotify’s weekend-long Our Generation pop-up event in Shoreditch last Friday.
“It’s been a real pinch-me moment getting to record our first Spotify Singles and to cover Beabadoobee’s song," says Will Gold of Lovejoy. "She’s incredibly talented and it’s such a great track, so we’ve loved putting our spin on it. We can’t wait for everyone to hear it now!”
