Lorde has returned with "What Was That", which marks her first major release in almost four years.
The accompanying music video was shot on location in New York, including Washington Square Park, where Lorde surprised fans with a pop-up performance earlier this week
This marks her first new solo music since releasing Solar Power in 2021, as well as her recent collaborations with Charli XCX on "Girl, so confusing", and the Marlon Williams track, “Kāhore He Manu E”.
"What Was That" is out now.
