Lonnie Holley announces new album featuring Michael Stipe, Sharon Van Etten, Bon Iver and more
Lonnie Holley has announced Oh Me Oh My, a new album featuring Sharon Van Etten, Bon Iver and others, and has teamed up with R.E.M.'s Michael Stipe for the title-track.
"Oh Me, Oh My" featuring Michael Stipe is Holley's first new material since collaborating with Matthew E. White on 2021's Broken Mirror: A Selfie Reflection album, and will appear on Holley's new full-length with 10 other new songs.
Oh Me Oh My will also feature appearances from Sharon Van Etten, Bon Iver, Moor Mother and Rokia Koné.
"My art and my music are always closely tied to what is happening around me, and the last few years have given me a lot to thoughtsmith about," Holley explains. "When I listen back to these songs I can feel the times we were living through. I’m deeply appreciative of the collaborators, especially Jacknife, who helped the songs take shape and really inspired me to dig deeper within myself."
