Lizzo praises Taylor Swift during concert in Australia: "There's no competition here"
During her performance at Perth’s RAC Arena, on Friday night, Lizzo took a moment to praise Taylor Swift after spotting her name on a concert-goer's sign.
After spotting a fan holding up a sign that read, “I Chose You Over Taylor Swift (Heart) Can I Get a Hug”, Lizzo decided to address fans and thank them for spending their hard-earned money on being able to see her live.
"I’m going to start off be saying thank you for coming to my show. I know tickets are expensive to everybody’s shows, so it means the world to me that you’re here," she said. "Taylor Swift is amazing as well, and you don’t have to choose, because I’m going to get you tickets to Taylor Swift! I’m just kidding.”
She then asked fans if Swift, who is currently finishing her run of shows on The Eras Tour in North America, had toured in Australia yet. When the crowd said she hadn't played there yet, Lizzo joked: "How did you choose me over Taylor?"
She then signed the poster and said: “I love TayTay too… there’s no competition here.”

"We are all so infinitesimally and maximally connected and significant. It's an honour," she said, thanking Beyoncé for her recognition.
