Lizzo covers Coldplay's "Yellow" at Glastonbury 2023
During her performance at Glastonbury 2023, ahead of Guns N' Roses, Lizzo commanded the stage and sang a cover of Coldplay's "Yellow".
After leading with hits such as "2 Be Loved (Am I Ready)", "Jerome", "I Love You Bitch", and "Juice", Lizzo broke out into a cover of Coldplay’s 2000s hit "Yellow". She introduced the track as one of her “one of her favourite songs.” Lizzo later picked up her flute to assist with a performance of her song "Coldplay", telling crowds that they are “one of my favourite bands”.
Throughout her tour this year, she has been performing a rendition of "Yellow". She then brought out her flute aka “Sasha Flute” to play a solo before diving into her song "Truth Hurts".

Lizzo said she was “so moved” as she expressed gratitude to fans for helping her make it to Glastonbury's Pyramid stage. She told the crowd that she had first performed at the festival in 2018 in a small tent with “nobody there”.
Finishing a rendition of her hit song Truth Hurts, she told crowds: “I’m just so overwhelmed. Last time I played this festival was 2019, and I was like ‘man, I’m doing big shit, because the first time I played this festival was 2018 – in one of those big tents – nobody was in there, but me and my DJ, we kept playing, and we played our hearts out, and now I stand before you and I’m so moved.”
Continuing the gratitude train, Lizzo said: “I want to say thank you Glastonbury for having me and putting me on this stage. I want to say thank you all for being here – your time means the world to me. It’s very important that I let you know that.”
Lizzo also performed a rendition of Chaka Khan’s "I’m Every Woman" and "Doo Wop (That Thing)", by Lauryn Hill.
