Little Simz's Sometimes I Might Be Introvert album sees 153% increase in chart sales following 2022 Mercury Prize win
It's been revealed that Little Simz's Sometimes I Might Be Introvert album has experienced a 153% increase in chart sales since winning the 2022 Mercury Prize last week.
Last week Little Simz won the 2022 Mercury Prize with her Sometimes I Might Be Introvert album after being shortlisted alongside albums from Self Esteem, Wet Leg, Harry Styles, Gwenno, Sam Fender, Kojey Radical, Nova Twins, Joy Crookes and more.
According to a new report from the BPI (British Phonographic Industry) using data from the Official Charts Company, the 2022 Mercury Prize-winning album has seen a 153% increase in chart sales (sales and streams combined) since last week's win. Downloads for Sometimes I Might Be Introvert surged by 2150%, and demands for physical copies of the album increased by 141%.
Jessie Buckley & Bernard Butler's All Our Days That Tear The Heart album also experienced a 162% in chart sales, while Self Esteem’s Prioritise Pleasure chart sales increased by 161%.
