Lil Uzi Vert is planning on quitting music after their forthcoming album
In a recent interview with TMZ, Lil Uzi Vert revealed that they will be taking a break from music in order to start up a fashion label.
Lil Uzi Vert is gearing up for the release of their third studio album, Luv Is Rage 3. The album is the follow-up to Uzi's most recent project, Pink Tape, which dropped in June. It also marks the final piece of the trilogy in their trilogy, following 2015's Luv Is Rage and 2017's Luv Is Rage 2.
Back in October, in Chicago, Uzi revealed the news to fans that they wanted to live a "normal life" once Luv Is Rage 3 drops. "I was gonna wait ’til later to say it but, you know, I’m dropping Luv Is Rage 3 and Luv Is Rage 3 will be my last album," they told the crowd. “After Luv Is Rage 3, I guess I will go on another tour, but after that, I wanna try to live a normal life... Thank you for all your support and thank you for supporting me on my decision. I’ll make sure that I give it my all on Luv Is Rage 3 this time because we gotta keep the legacy going. Thank you.”
“I don’t really wanna make music like that no more,” Uzi said to TMZ of their forthcoming final album. “I wanna make, like, women’s clothes. I been working in my office in my house.”
Yesterday (26 December), Lil Uzi Vert treated fans to a post-Christmas surprise by sharing another taster of the forthcoming album on new single, "Red Moon". The track is yet to be uploaded to DSPs, and is exclusively available on YouTube.
"Red Moon" is out now.
