Lewis Capaldi cancels all tour dates leading up to Glastonbury
Yesterday (5 June), Lewis Capaldi shared a statement to his fans, announcing that he had to cancel all commitments in order to prioritise his health.
Noting that he hasn't been home properly since Christmas, Capaldi said that seeing all of the support for his latest album, Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent, is "beyond anything I could have ever dreamed of", but he needs to take some time off because, "at the moment, I'm struggling to get to grips with it all".
He was due to play in Glasgow, Dublin, London, and Norway over the next few of weeks, including a set at Capital FM’s Summertime Ball. For now, Capaldi has said: "I need to take the next three weeks to be Lewis from Glasgow, spend some time with my family and friends and do normal life things that are an important part of me feeling better.”

In his documentary, How I’m Feeling Now, Capaldi has spoken openly about his struggles with mental health and how his anxiety effects his Tourette’s syndrome diagnosis.
"I'm going to have to cancel all commitments from now until I play Glastonbury on June 24th," he stated. He acknowledges that things are economically difficult at the moment, and sincerely apologises to fans who have spent money on travel and hotels to see him.
Ending the statement, he said: "I take none of this for granted and I can't wait to be back doing it again".
