Let's Eat Grandma cover Nick Drake's "From The Morning" for new tribute album
Le's Eat Grandma's version of Nick Drake's "From The Morning" has been shared as the second outing from the upcoming The Endless Coloured Ways – The Songs Of Nick Drake tribute album.
The Endless Coloured Ways – The Songs Of Nick Drake was announced last month with Fontaines DC's version of "Cello Song", and today a second cut from the record has been released, which is Let's Eat Grandma's cover of "From The Morning".
Jenny Hollingworth of Let’s Eat Grandma says of the song, "It has meant a lot to me to cover "From The Morning". I’ve always thought of it as the most hopeful song on Pink Moon and listening to its lyrics about nature showing us the beauty in the light and darkness and how life and death are connected helped me to find acceptance and comfort after loss. Thank you so much to David Wrench for working on it with me."
The Endless Coloured Ways – The Songs Of Nick Drake will also feature contributions from Self Esteem, AURORA, Bombay Bicycle Club, Mike Lindsay, Christian Lee Hutson, Skullcrusher and many others.
Let's Eat Grandma's cover of "From The Morning" is out now. The Endless Coloured Ways – The Songs Of Nick Drake will be released via Chrysalis Records on 7 July, and is available to pre-order now.
