Laufey announces deluxe album, Bewitched: The Goddess Edition
Grammy-winning Icelandic-Chinese artist Laufey has announced the forthcoming release, Bewitched: The Goddess Edition, alongside lead single, "Goddess".
The expanded edition features four brand-new original songs that Laufey wrote in the wake of finishing her 2023 album Bewitched.
“Goddess is my most honest song yet. I wrote it alone at my piano after feeling like someone had fallen in love with the version of me they’d seen on stage, just to find that I wasn’t what they projected once I was off stage. They deemed me to no longer be a shiny thing when the glamour wore off, reduced to skin and bone," she explains of the new single.
Laufey is currently in the midst of the European leg of her sold-out “Bewitched: The Goddess Tour”, having recently played sold-out shows across the UK including a three night residency at EartH which saw Laufey invite friends and her favourite musicians to perform with and support her; Matilda Mann, Matt Maltese, Dodie, Eloise and Tom Odell. Laufey will be returning to London in March to play Roundhouse and then again in May to perform at the legendary Royal Albert Hall - both dates are sold out.
Bewitched: The Goddess Edition, is due for release on 26 April via AWAL.
