Zola Jesus unleashes "Hunger" video
Wisconsin goth-pop artist Zola Jesus has lifted the lid on her new visuals for "Hunger", one of the poppiest outings on recent LP Taiga.
Director Allie Avital Tsypin/BANGS says of the visuals: ""Hunger" is essentially a sculpture project... an exploration of a life form: both raw and refined. A negotiation between form and inner life, movement and stillness, desire and satiation. Working with Nika is always an honest and satisfying collaboration… it was really fun to interpret the song and Nika's aesthetic sensibilities through film."
The "Hunger" video features a re-mixed (not remixed) version of the cut by Zola Jesus live bandmate Alex DeGroot and Mute's founder Daniel Miller. It will be feature as a digital single 'backed' with B-side "Compass", which will drop 9 February.
Taiga is out now via Mute.
